Christmas Parcels 2007 - Make a wish come true.
Each year, Southport Rotary and the Southport Visiter mark the Christmas Season with the distribution of Christmas Parcels of food and toys to some of the least fortunate of our neighbours and fellow-citizens. For the past two years, we have joined with the Southport Lions Club in this annual event, and 2007 will be no different. WIth your help, co-ordinated by the Visiter, nearly four hundred families and individuals received a little Christmas Cheer from Rotary and Lions. Packing and distribution of the Parcels was on 16th December 2007 (or shortly afterwards!) and a full account will appear in here in due course!
Christmas Parcels 2006 - Make a wish come true.
To make life just a little better for some of our less fortunate neighbours, the Rotary Club of Southport and the Southport Lions Club, together with the Southport Visiter, worked to provide Christmas Parcels for those whose Christmas would otherwise be less than Festive. We'd like to thank everyone who helped, whether by giving donations of money, or food or toys, or by coming along and helping, or by lending their facilities!
