A Preview of our upcoming Projects

Much of what we do comprises small or regular items which you will find in ‘Our Works’ - Christmas Parcels, Kids Out, and so on. These are significant contributions to the service which Rotary gives, but sometimes we reach higher, farther and further, and take on a project which has the potential to benefit the community on a much wider scale.

The Eco Garden at Hesketh Park

An Education, and an Experience!

Just now (Autumn 2009) we are in the planning phases of one such major project. Recent work to improve Hesketh Park here in Southport has left an area, formerly used by the contractors for storing their equipment and supplies, now looking for a new purpose. In conjunction with other interested parties, Southport Rotary Club is planning an Eco Garden which will provide not only a learning environment for our school children, but also valuable work experience for a number of young people about to enter the job market.
